Composition stone figure of The Riace warrior, Italy, circa 460-450 BC

The Riace Warrior, after the two bronze Greek statues, found by Italian divers on a shipwreck in 1972, off the coast of Southern Italy.
Originally cast about 460-450 BC, they were thought to be two of twelve statues, cast to give thanks to the gods for victory in war. Probably being shipped to the Greek temples in Delphi.
The statue is 135cm high, with its original plinth 190cm high.
